In House Testing for Heavy Metals by XRF Screening Methods

 

Aperture diameter of 2mm, this unit is extremely sensitive in measuring heavy metals. Designed to meet criteria of RoHS (Restrictions of Hazardous Use, Euro Nations).  This is NOT the "Gun" method which, in our opinion, is far too prone to errors in readings (far too large an aperture.)

AT this time, we are NOT a certified Laboratory in the State of California. California's laws require Destructive Determinations of Lead content in Children's clothing, an expensive testing method that requires the acid suspension of all parts of Children's clothing and analytical analysis for results in PPM.  We advise using XRF testing first to see if your articles will pass a DD for lead before submitting clothing for expensive tests. We charge a very modest amount for this testing. We will supply readings in ppm for Lead, Cadmium, Chromium (non-ionic form) and, if you need, Mercury.

We test all rhinestones used in our production of rhinestones for use in Children's wear. We will not use Rhinestones that exceed the legal limits set forth in your state...please inform us of the limits when ordering!

Pricing is determined by what you want tested, but by and large, tests will run less than 20.00 per unit, multiple tests will run less. Current and future Rhinestone Guy clients who have transfers made with us will receive breaks in pricing. Please talk to Phil about pricing.

Our testing Laboratories open January 22, 2009 at our facilities in Santa Ana, CA.  The laboratory is headed up by Phillip Brandt, BS Chemistry, Ph.D. Microbiology.

You will receive a print-out of the test results both in PPM AND a graph showing lead and types of bound lead via fax.

 The testing facility is operated separately from Rhinestone Guy ... checks are made out to Phillip Brandt, for were we to operate the testing facility as part of Rhinestone Guy, it would give the appearance of prejudicial results...I have no interest in whether you purchase low lead or normal rhinestones.... I operate the testing facilities and do not want to become involved in day to day operations of Rhinestone Guy. The Testing Facilities cannot be billed through Rhinestone Guy, and the Testing Facilities do not accept Visa, etc. Thanks.
