In most instances, this is the stone of choice for decorating costumes, shirts, you name it! Do not be fooled by Swarovski's incessant advertising. This is a very high quality stone. The main difference I see is that the 'Crystal' color is very slightly less bright than that of Swarovski, but at distances of 4 feet or more, this stone is actually brighter, provides much more bling, and is priced considerably lower than Swarovski. Do NOT judge this stone at close distances....Swarovski looks better at distances of up to 4 feet, but after that, this stone takes over the and flashes much brighter! NO ONE asks you what brand rhinestones you are using, they are impressed by the bling! Stop wasting money and use Czech Preciosa...sorry to be so blunt, but that is my job. Phil Brandt

Excellent facets and cutting - 8 facet for maximum light reflection...lots of flash!
Excellent for any rhinestone application, but especially desirable in costumes where "flash" is important, and our choice for belts and leather wear...somewhat harder than Swarovski - Phil's Choice for Costuming and any garment meant to be seen at distances farther than 4 feet. The Crystal is about 1/4 degree less bright than Swarovski, the colors are excellent, and the AB versions are terrific.
Do not underestimate the beauty of these rhinestones...excellent value and excellent choice of stones.

Czech Extra Grade Rhinestones: Cut only on top and bottom (2X Cut), facets molded. Nice stone for the money, but not as brilliant as the Czech Machine Cut or Swarovski. Available in Crystal and Crystal AB only. This stone is very good for low-end clothing lines...This stone cannot compete with either Czech Preciosa Machine Cut OR Swarovski, but then again, it is NOT priced like these stones. This stone is NOT Lead-Free
