Mirrors and Pearls
Mirrors and Pearls' prices are on the rise, the pricing below is for stock items, new stock coming pricing is subject to change.
Pearls are either ½ round or full round, depending upon description.
The easiest to use are ½ round, as they have a flat back and can be either glued or mounted to fabric, much as rhinestones are used.
Pearls are made of hard plastic, can be tinted using fabric dye (Rit Dye works fine). They can be mounted with GemTac or using the proper size tiffany or rim mounting.
IF using mountings, make sure a mount is available for the size you want to use.
Mirrors
- Mirrors create a remarkable effect when used in costumes.
- Use on medium to heavier fabrics.
- As both glass and acrylic mirrors have an unfinishd edge, rim setting them is the preferred way.
- Mirrors are best when they are set in patterns and mixed with rhinestones to complete the pattern.
